We knew new maps for Halo 2 were coming, but that was it - we had no details what so ever. Now, Bungie has been kind enough to give us all the details we need. There will be two maps, here on April 17th, and they’ll cost $4 for both of them. One is Tombstone, a remake of Hang ‘Em High, and the other is Desolation, a remake of Derelict. Continuing with their profiling of various objects from the Halo universe (Previously: The Spiker, Spartan Laser, Spike Grenade, MA5C Assault Rifle, and The Mongoose), Bungie.net posted details on the Warthog. They post a description, stats, information on field use, and even “remarks” from soldiers. However, the most interesting part was a 3D animation of it that you could control. Not only is this just plain cool, but it contains a code of sorts. Details after the jump.
TheDiggMan captured a screenshot of Gamestop.com’s listing of hard drives, and along with the Xbox 360’s normal 20 GB hard drive there was a 120 GB one. While the hard drive has pretty much already been confirmed, the listing revealed a little more info - specifically, the price. We already knew it would be under $200, but the listing sets the price at $149.99. While this is no where near a good deal, it’s at least better than the ridiculous $100 you have to pay for the 20 GB. It also had a release date - April 1st. That just so happens to be April Fools day, but since the listing has been removed, I think it wasn’t meant as a joke. This listing shouldn’t be taken as a confirmation of the price or release date, but any information we can get is good.

According to Variety, Zack Snyder will soon be teaming up with Warner Bros. to make a zombie film called Army of the Dead. While they have not yet decided if Snyder will be directing, Joby Harold, who wrote the upcoming film Awake, will be penning the script.
“I feel like there hasn’t been a zombie movie on the scale that we want to do it,” Snyder said, also saying that it will have the same epic quality of 300, and could possibly be filmed in a similar way. Set in the near, zombie infested future Las Vegas, the plot will center around a father attempting to protect and save his daughter. Zack Snyder has already proved he can work with zombies by directing the Dawn of the Dead remake, and considering how well done 300 was, I have high hopes for what this movie could be.

Jeremiah Thiring’s custom Halo 3 Xbox 360 is a work of art. It looks like it’s great quality and very well done, not to mention how cool the drawing is. It’s limited though, so if you want it you better buy it now:

If you’re tired of entering a password to protect your files, Revo’s USB Sex Drive has got you covered. Claiming to be the “the first company to make security Sexy”, Revo goes about protecting files differently. There’s no complicated passwords - instead, when you’re ready to get your data you simply click porn pictures in the order you’ve previously selected, and assuming you get it right that’s all there is to it. This seems like it will be much easier to remember than a series of letters and numbers, not to mention more fun, and it’s nice to have an alternative to passwords.

According to recent NPD sales data, the Playstation 3 is selling faster than the Xbox 360 was at this time last year. Unfortunately for Sony, beating something that happened a year ago doesn’t really matter. What matters is what is happening now, which is the PS3 being outsold by the Xbox 360 - so you can’t really blame them for wanting to make things look better than they are. Not to mention that at this time last year there were severe shortages of the Xbox 360, where as there are plenty of PS3s sitting unsold right now. The PS3s may be selling faster, but that doesn’t really mean anything considering that a year ago there weren’t any Xbox 360s actually left to sell any faster.
